The Crosstown Comedy Festival takes place from July 10 to August 30 at Commonwealth Sanctuary, and Bomb’s Away! Comedy at The Comet.

Participants compete in two leagues: ROOKIE and VETERAN.

ROOKIES are performers who do not regularly get paid to showcase (host, feature, headline) on stand-up comedy shows.

VETERANS are performers who DO showcase on stand-up comedy shows for pay.

Each round’s winners will be determined by a combination of judge’s picks and audience voting.

The winner of the ROOKIE league will win $300 and two paid spots on a showcase at each club.

The winner of the VETERAN league will win $500 and two paid spots on a showcase at each club.

Submissions are open from March 1st until March 30th.  Performers will be notified by April 10th on if they are accepted and when they will perform.  All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of comedy fans and industry folks.  All submissions will be considered, but not all submissions will be accepted.
